LM Catering & Events is the team people turn to when they want a different take on catering. We’re cool and artsy and we show people how to think outside the ballroom. Our customers love us because on the one hand we’re a touch unconventional, but on the other we’re completely professional. We pay attention to every last detail—and that’s what makes us the team behind some of the most memorable events in Chicago. From intimate weddings to large-scale corporate celebrations, we bring creativity, warmth, and one-of-a-kind experiences to events all across the city.
Meet the Team
Director of Catering Sales & Operations
Gabi Dorsch
Gabi grew up in Germany, starting her kitchen career at her Aunt’s restaurants by age 11. She began her professional journey at Hotel Dorint in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, then moved to Namibia to work as a house supervisor and chef at a game resort. Afterward, she worked in hotel operations and as a tour guide in the Canary Islands. Gabi later owned a restaurant in Catalonia, Spain, before relocating to Chicago to work with the Spanish Embassy on a two-year contract, initially planning to move to Argentina. However, she fell in love with Chicago and has yet to visit Argentina. In the Windy City, she worked with various renowned restaurants and catering companies before joining LM. Outside of work, Gabi enjoys cooking for loved ones, traveling, scuba diving, and nurturing her flamingo obsession. She dreams of owning a small B&B on a beach or island one day.

Kristin Johansson
Sr. Catering Sales Manager
Coming from a world of restaurants and hospitality, Kristin realized she had a knack for event planning with her first big City of Hope Fundraiser at the Rosemont Convention Center. After opening a few restaurants with celebrity chefs, Rick Tramonto and Gale Gand, she moved into the catering world in downtown Chicago.
Kristin spent nearly a decade at Saddle and Cycle Club – an exclusive high-end Chicago private club, and tripled the amount of events held each year, while improving the annual club events with creative “outside of the box” initiative, bringing in new vendor partners, and made Saddle “the hidden gem” of Chicago. She was known at the club as an “Emotional Ambassador” with her grace and hand-holding of the members and clients.
After a few years in hotels, mainly planning weddings, Kristin has found a new home with LM Catering. She is looking forward to taking LM Studio to the next level with her knowledge, experience, and connections in the industry!
When not at work, you will most likely find her on her couch with her 3 puppies binging the latest Netflix show (when her husband is home) or a new reality show (when he is not). She also just got married at the end of 2024, so she knows first-hand what it takes to plan and execute an event to remember!

Founded in 2010 by Nicole and Stephan Outrequin Quaisser, LM Catering & Events is a part of LM Restaurant Group and provides full-service catering to the Chicagoland area. Additionally, LM Catering & Events is the exclusive caterer and event management team at LM Studio, Twenty-Six, City View Loft, Lacuna Events by LM, and Sky on Nine Rosemont. The LM Catering & Events team has worked to create a full-service approach at these exclusive venues, in an effort to give clients the complete service they are accustomed to receiving at hotels but in one-of-a-kind settings.
